Parishes with little or no prior attendance are not shown, but helpers are welcome! If your parish is not listed here but you would still like to help please let us know!


What does an Our Lady's Helper do? Here is a list of what you get and what we need from you. If you can help, please email ocwc@ocwconference.com. We would appreciate your help in promoting this wonderful conference in your parish!

OCWC will:

 

• Provide a schedule of registration dates and a list of frequently asked questions.
• Provide 25-100 brochures and 1-2 posters per parish, to be mailed at the end of December.
• Provide bulletin articles of various lengths in paper or electronic format.
• Provide talking points for the parish priest to make announcements from the pulpit.
• Recognize parish reps at the conference.
• Provide new parish reps with a t-shirt to wear at the conference.

Parish Rep will:

• Serve as a point of contact within the parish to distribute registration materials and answer questions regarding the conference.
• Make sure parish staff is aware of location of registration brochures. (Registration materials will state that brochures will be available in the parish office.)
• Put poster in narthex, parish office or other conspicuous place.
• Coordinate with bulletin editor to publish announcements regarding the conference in December and January.
• Talk to your parish priest about making announcements from the pulpit in support of the conference. (NOTE: We have found it to be more effective if women who have attended the conference tell how their conference experience has affected their lives, rather than just the priest making an announcement. Please ask your priest if you or another woman can address the congregation.)
• Ask your priest or finance committee about providing some financial support for the conference. Many parishes give a donation to the men’s conference, we would appreciate a financial or in-kind donation for postage, printing, or refreshments.
• Individuals can also make a contribution in exchange for a tax contribution letter from our 501(c)3 charitable organization.
• Submit a list of Catholic-owned business in your community, or send a copy of the ads in your parish bulletin by mail or email.
• Publicize January 28-29 as “Sign-Up Sunday”, when you will staff a table in the narthex or other convenient location following all Masses that weekend to collect registrations.
• Mail registrations and payments collected to OCWC by the final deadline of February 3.
• Make reports via email at various times during the registration period.
